Batteries Plus Bulbs is hiring for a Screen Test Technician to join our Device Repair Team! As a Screen Testh Technician you will receive and test screen assemblies to meet quality standards and productivity requirements. An ideal candidate for this position would have a the ability to work with small parts, have strong attention to detail and would be comfortable with a job where thier tasks can be repetitive in nature.


Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Receive screen assemblies through the warranty return process
  • Perform visual and functionality tests to screen assembly components using defined processes
  • Sort the components into "good," "damaged," and "defective" groupings
  • Document all test data (functionality and defects) within controlled database
  • Participate in the training of store associates through taking photos and discussing test results
  • Observe store associate device repair through live camera-based assessments
  • Repair cell phones, tablets, and test devices as needed.
  • Work cross-functionally with ARO Support Technicians, Device Repair Technicians, and inventory specialists when needed.
  • Report any quality control issues to the supervisor
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.

 


Qualifications

  • High School education or equivalent.
  • 3 -6 months of customer service experience with a technical background, a plus.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude. Able to quickly identify problems, pick up on new processes and technologies without a lot of guidance.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills. Duties require the ability of the use of judgment in minor decisions and an understanding of when to escalate for bigger decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work with relative independence on regular, routine duties, referring questionable situations to supervisor or others.
  • Ability to work autonomously, collaboratively, and in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to obtain information and data that requires professionalism and tact.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to effectively manage and track multiple commitments; effectively prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines

  • This position requires the employee to regularly use hands to handle or touch electronic products.
  • The employee will regularly use simple hand tools, a magnifying glass, and microscope.
  • The employee will regularly use a phone, computer and other standard office equipment

  • The level of noise in the working environment is quiet to moderate.
  • This position requires the employee to regularly stand/walk, sit, use hands to handle or touch, and talk or hear, see at close distances and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
