The IT Help Desk Support Intern will be an active member of our fast-paced in-house Point of Sale Application Support team, providing support to 700+ Batteries Plus Bulbs retail store locations nationwide.  Located at our corporate office and national headquarters in Hartland, WI, the IT Help Desk Support Intern will participate in our on-going Windows 10 refresh project, assist with incoming calls and tickets related to point-of-sale information technology software applications, and have the opportunity to learn new skills as part of this internship.

As a current college student working towards an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in the Information Technology field, you will be able to work a flexible schedule which can include daytime hours as well as occasional evening and weekend hours. Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the on-going Windows 10 refresh project
  • Ensure project work is completed in a timely manner; with effective teamwork and a customer satisfaction focus
  • Accurately log 100% of support calls in call tracking application
  • Assist in other project work as assigned
  • Create and update documentation for support team members and customers

Qualifications:

  • Current college student working towards an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in the Information Technology field
  • Ability to work 15-20 hours weekly, including some evenings and weekends
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Prior customer service experience as you will be working with internal customers including employees and franchise owners
  • Desire and willingness to learn, grow and develop new skills as part of in-house IT team
