The Corporate Communications Manager will drive and support the development and execution of new and existing internal corporate communications strategies. Located at the Batteries Plus Bulbs corporate office and national headquarters in Hartland, WI, the Corporate Communications Manager will be highly involved in corporate communications to our 700+ retail stores nationwide as well as internal communications working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders including franchise owners, employees, and senior-level executive leadership. 

The Corporate Communications Manager will have 5+ years of corporate communications experience, strong copywriting skills, an innovative approach, and the drive to continue to develop the internal corporate communication channels within our growing organization.  We are looking for a creative thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit.   • Manage and enhance the current internal retail related communications channel from the corporate office to franchisees, corporate stores, and other corporate teams; including quality of messaging, prioritization, and frequency.
  • Develop and manage standards for various internal communication channels including templates, rules, style guides, writing quality, and processes
  • Partner with the executive team to write confidential, urgent, and critical messaging 
  • Develop cross-functional relationships within the organization 
  • Assist with the creation of internal and store facing communication, oversee current communications 
  • Continuously test and measure the effectiveness of communication methods, research new communication tools and ideas, and make recommendations for improvement


  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in internal corporate communications
  • Ability to write content, copy,  and messaging in a variety of styles, voices, and tones
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate with all levels within the organization
  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Business, Marketing or related field
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills
    • Proficient with MS Office. Knowledge of Google Suite helpful
  • Proven ability to make presentations to senior management and/or groups of employees
  • At least one year of experience managing others / direct reports
